4 Year Visit

The Four Year Visit to MVP: What To Expect

Your four year old likely feels much more grown up all of the sudden! They can get dressed (mostly) independently, go to the bathroom independently, and a lot of children can even identify their emotions and speak about their feelings by age 4. Using up energy by playing outside and engaging your four year old’s brain through imaginative play are both very important this year.

What Happens at the Visit:

  • At your child’s four year visit, we will measure your child’s height, weight, and head circumference.
  • We will perform a full physical exam, assess your child’s growth, and encourage you to share any concerns or questions you have about your child’s development.

Vaccines at Four Years Old

  • Your child will receive the MMR, varicella, and DTaP and polio vaccines at this visit. Please note this is two injections only as we use combination vaccinations.
  • Seasonally you will be offered influenza and COVID-19 vaccines if not previously administered
