2 Year Visit

The Two Year Visit to MVP: What To Expect

Your two year old is becoming more exciting by the day! Two year olds are curious, test boundaries, and are experiencing rapid developmental advances every day. This can be exciting, and it can also test patience.

What Happens at the Visit:

  • At your child’s two year visit, we will measure your child’s height, weight, and head circumference.
  • We will begin the visit with a finger prick that measures hemoglobin and lead levels. This is routine and recommended for all 2 year olds by the AAP.
  • We will perform a full physical exam, assess your child’s growth, and encourage you to share any concerns or questions you have about your child’s development. An autism screening is performed routinely on all 2 year olds.

Vaccines at Two Years Old

  • Seasonally you will be offered influenza and COVID-19 vaccines if not previously administered
