Baby’s Two-Week Visit to MVP: What to Expect
What Happens at the Visit:
When you arrive, one of our Medical Assistants will bring you into an exam room and start with a history, including details about feeding, peeing, and pooping.
You’ll then undress your baby so we can:
- Check weight
- Measure length and head circumference
Meeting with your Provider:
After the initial measurements, your provider will join you in the room. During this time, we will:
- Discuss your baby’s feeding, behavior, and development
- Perform a full exam
- Check the umbilical stump to ensure it is healing well
- Answer all of your questions
We’ll also talk through:
- Feeding plans
- Umbilical stump care and if your baby is cleared for a bath
