The 2.5 Year Visit to MVP: What To Expect
Your two and a half year old is building on existing skills and becoming more sophisticated in play. Pretend play is becoming more exciting for your child, and there is likely a lot more that your child has to say to you these days!
What Happens at the Visit:
- At your child’s 2.5 year visit, we will measure your child’s height, weight, and head circumference.
- We will perform a full physical exam, assess your child’s growth, and encourage you to share any concerns or questions you have about your child’s development.
Vaccines at Two Years Old
- Seasonally you will be offered influenza and COVID-19 vaccines if not previously administered
Development at 2.5 Years Old
Most 2.5 year olds should be able to do the following things:
Movement
- Jump with two feet
- Kick a ball
- Throw a ball
- Walk up and down stairs
Fine Motor
- Feed with a fork or spoon
- Hold a crayon with a thumb and finger vs a fist
Speech
- Speak in 2-4 word sentences
- Name a color
- Follows two step instructions
