There are many online resources for parents.

Books that we recommend for caregivers of children with Autism:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder: What Every Parent Needs to Know (2nd Edition) by Rosenblatt & Carbone
- Quirky Kids: Understanding and Supporting Your Child With Developmental Differences by Klass and Costello
It is important to provide your child with early behavioral interventions. These can be provided through:
- Early Intervention for children under 3 years of age
- The Department of Education (DOE) should provide supports through an individualized education plan (IEP) for children 3 years of age and older
- Your insurance company, such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) or additional speech/occupational therapy
- Paying privately for these services
- State supports, in NYC this is called the Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
